The House of Planes is conceived as a sequence of horizontal and vertical planes in the foreground to the Indian Ocean. All space is measured against the great line of the horizon, places are formed by planes that continue in to the landscape, planes that wish to extend space connecting interior experience with the horizon. Planes extend to the road creating an ambiguous field distorting private and public world. A sequence of large natural limestone 'Pinnacles' contrast with the exactness of the planes while referencing the subsurface geology that eventually appears at the coast.
