The New Watchtower for Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club presents a unique opportunity to refocus the public awareness of the Club and its important role in the community and provide an enigmatic element to Perth’s most famous beach.

We proposed two solutions, one from manipulating re-cycled shipping containers and one from standard boat building systems. The yellow pod was selected as the competition winner, while small in size it is large in aura and expectation, a clearly recognisable sign of safety in an increasing hostile environment.
