falcon beach house

Falcon Beach House sits opposite Gearies surf break 1 hour south of Perth. A dip in the dune is echoed by a subtle dip in the balustrade creating a direct connection to the passing surfer.

Based on the rapidly disappearing Mandurah beach house a robust black brick base supports a restrained white Colorbond sheeting skin. The floor is a thin zone of grey, burnished concrete and grey recycled plastic decking.

Everything below the main house level is black, everything above is white and a thin grey zone challenges the concept that everything is black and white.

A wrapping double skin polycarbonate wall provides protection from the elements and provides privacy to occupants, at night this glows to announce the project to the street and ocean.
