The rapidly progressing Bayswater City Football Club engaged iph architects to increase seating capacity, player, staff and club facilities. The upgrades would be primarily constructed by club members with sponsorship funding forming a major priority to help achieve this ambitious plan.
The design evolved in response to the availability of materials and trade skills, the club president being a ‘master’ bricklayer, resulting in the possibility of considering the works as a ‘master-class’ for bricklaying and other trades.
Our design responds at numerous scales and to varying speeds of travel, large brick balls satisfy the speeding commuter and fine filtered light enriches the football fan experience.
